Laser freeze protection operation knowledge
Winter is extremely cold. When the air temperature is below 0 °, liquid water will condense into ice. In the process of liquid water solidification, the volume will become larger, "breaking" the pipes, joints and components in the water cooling system. Because the water cooling system (including: chiller, laser, and output head) is frozen due to failure to do maintenance in time, it will cause unnecessary delay and loss of production operations, so we must do antifreeze work in advance.
 
1) When is there no need to add antifreeze?
If it can ensure that the equipment use site will never be out of power, regardless of the use of electricity, keep the water cooler turned on at night to ensure that the cooling water is in continuous circulation and the temperature is not lower than the freezing point.
 
2) When must antifreeze be used?
We must use antifreeze when the environment is frequently powered down and there is no condition to drain the coolant every day. The base liquid of antifreeze is generally composed of alcohols and water, which requires high specific heat and conductivity, low temperature viscosity, not easy to foam, and does not corrode metal parts, rubber hoses, etc.
It is recommended to choose a professional brand antifreeze. It should be noted that its freezing point should be 5 ° C lower than the minimum temperature of the use environment.
